    Descrição

CreativeMornings HQ is looking for a full-time Chapter Community Manager to join our nine-person team and help care for the remarkable humans who make CreativeMornings possible around the world.

At the heart of CreativeMornings is a global community of 1,000+ volunteers who generously give their time and energy to run local CreativeMornings chapters. They are the heart and soul of our organization. This role exists to make sure they feel supported, connected, informed, appreciated, and empowered to create meaningful gatherings in their cities.

Your job will be to befriend and support remarkable, heart-centered and generous humans all over the world, while owning the systems, communications, and experiences that keep our global chapter community healthy and thriving.

You will report directly to our Head of Operations & Product, Angelica, and play an important role in shaping how CreativeMornings supports its global volunteer community.

    This is an in-person role.

CreativeMornings HQ works together from Friends Work Here in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. We are looking for someone who is excited to work from a creative space like our office, for a minimum of two days a week. Currently Mondays and Tuesdays.

We are a small team, and we believe there is something important about being in the room together. Ideas emerge. Problems get solved. We help each other. We laugh. We notice when someone needs a hand. We build relationships that are hard to replicate entirely through a screen.

We are looking for someone NYC-based who genuinely wants to be part of that.

    Are you our person?

There are three qualities we care about deeply for this role:

You are heart-centered. You are highly self-directed. And you believe that everything is figure-outable.

You care deeply about people while holding yourself to a high standard professionally. You notice things. You take initiative. You follow through. You don't need someone to map out every step for you or tell you what to do next.

When something isn't working, you want to make it better. When you encounter something you've never done before, your instinct is to get curious, ask good questions, dig in, experiment, and find a way forward.

You are the kind of person who can say, with confidence and optimism: I can figure this out.

    You are heart-centered.

For us, being heart-centered isn't separate from doing excellent work. It's how we do excellent work.

    You:

    • Genuinely care about people and enjoy helping them succeed.
    • Lead with kindness, generosity, authenticity, and integrity.
    • Value connection, gathering humans, and the power of community.
    • Communicate with compassion and care, including when conversations are difficult.
    • Have excellent situational awareness and tact, aka Fingerspitzengefühl.
    • Are curious, playful, and open to joy and delight.
    • Understand the CreativeMornings values of generosity, optimism, and collaboration.
    • Believe there is always a more loving, magical, and creative way forward.

    You are a self-starter.

CreativeMornings HQ is a team of nine. There isn't always a playbook or another person whose job it is to solve the thing in front of you.

We pitch in. We wear multiple hats. We ask questions. We communicate openly. We notice what needs doing and help do it.

    You:

    • Take ownership of your work and feel accountable for the outcome, not just the task.
    • Don't wait to be told what to do next.
    • Notice opportunities and problems and proactively bring forward ideas and solutions.
    • Approach problems with critical thinking and sound judgment.
    • Ask good questions and know when to ask for help.
    • Are resourceful when the path forward isn't obvious.
    • Follow through on the details and close loops.
    • Can move work forward independently while also being an excellent collaborator.
    • Receive feedback with openness and give feedback with kindness and clarity.
    • Are constantly looking for ways to learn, grow, and get better.

If ambiguity energizes you more than it scares you, you may feel very at home here.

You love bringing order and care to complexity.

Supporting a global volunteer community requires both a big heart and an excellent brain for systems.

    You:

    • Are highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • Genuinely enjoy creating clear systems and processes.
    • Get a strange amount of satisfaction from a good spreadsheet.
    • Can move comfortably between a heartfelt conversation with a chapter organizer and digging into the details of a workflow.
    • Look for ways to make systems clearer, smarter, and easier for humans to use.
    • Communicate clearly, effectively, and kindly.
    • Naturally build strong and highly functional working relationships.
    • Have a global mindset and demonstrate genuine cultural sensitivity.

Bonus points if you speak another language.

    What you'll own

This isn't a role where you'll simply work through a list of tasks handed to you.

You'll have meaningful ownership over how CreativeMornings cares for and supports its global chapter volunteer community.

The health of our global chapter community

You'll own the systems we use to understand and support the health and engagement of our chapter community, continually looking for ways to make them smarter, clearer, and more useful.

    You'll:

    • Build and grow strong relationships with chapter hosts and organizers around the world.
    • Onboard new chapter organizers onto CreativeMornings systems and external platforms.
    • Empower new hosts and organizers to lead their chapters effectively.
    • Facilitate host succession planning and chapter handoffs.
    • Hold one-on-one coaching conversations with chapter organizers.
    • Uphold the standards, values, and principles set out in the non-negotiables, community guidelines, and host agreement.
    • Respond to direct messages and provide thoughtful, timely support when organizers need help.
    • Identify patterns, needs, and opportunities across the community and propose ways CreativeMornings HQ can respond.
    • Take ownership of ideas and initiatives that strengthen chapter health and engagement.
    • Lead special projects that improve the chapter volunteer experience and streamline internal team processes over time.

    Connection across our global community

A huge part of this role is helping remarkable people around the world feel connected to one another and to CreativeMornings HQ.

    You'll:

    • Design and host monthly online Community Office Hours with chapter organizers calling in from around the world.
    • Create and facilitate workshops and special gatherings for our chapter community.
    • Dream up ways for hosts and organizers to learn from, support, and connect with one another.
    • Support the production of CreativeMornings/NYC events alongside the HQ team.
    • Help produce a possible future global CreativeMornings Organizers Summit.

    Our chapter knowledge and resources

You'll own and continuously improve the resources that help our organizers do their best work.

    You'll:

    • Maintain our internal handbook and chapter knowledge base, making sure information stays accurate, useful, and easy to navigate.
    • Write and create new resources, including articles, checklists, GIFs, and videos.
    • Notice where organizers repeatedly get stuck or confused and create resources or systems that solve those problems.

    Communications with our organizers

You'll help make sure our global volunteer community knows what they need to know and, equally importantly, feels the care behind our communication.

    You'll:

    • Write, edit, and compile communications for chapter organizers.
    • Produce our monthly organizer newsletters and special communications.
    • Create videos and other resources according to our organizer communications strategy.
    • Pitch, design, and project-manage initiatives that improve the chapter volunteer experience, make community management more effective, or deepen connections across the CreativeMornings universe.

    What we're looking for

We care much more about the human you are and what you've demonstrated than whether your résumé checks every conventional box.

    That said, you should have:

    • Experience building, supporting, or caring for a community of people, whether professionally or through meaningful volunteer/community work.
    • A genuine love of events and gatherings. Experience producing events is a plus.
    • Confidence in learning unfamiliar technology and getting yourself up to speed quickly. We use tools including Slack, Google Workspace, Asana, Dropbox, Zoom, Klaviyo, and Siteleaf, and we don't expect you to know them all on day one.
    • The ability to work from our Brooklyn office at least two days a week and a genuine desire to do so.
    • Authorization to work in the United States.

What it's like to work at CreativeMornings HQ

Working at CreativeMornings is an opportunity to work in service of the global creative community.

We are a small team, which means your work matters and your contribution will be felt.

We believe work can be rigorous and kind. Ambitious and joyful. Professional and deeply human.

We support one another, expect a lot from one another, laugh a lot, and care about creating an environment where people feel seen, appreciated, and heard.

You are an ideal candidate if, in your heart, you believe that we collectively need to call in a more loving, generous, and community-minded future, and you also have the drive to roll up your sleeves and help build it.

This role is meaningful and influential. It requires a big heart, excellent judgment, initiative, follow-through, and a lot of thought and care.
