Social Media Content Director (Freelance/Part-Time) – Dog Lovers Wanted!

Who We Are:
DogsBnB is a new dog-friendly travel site built by dog lovers, for dog lovers. We connect pet-friendly vacation rentals with travelers who never leave their pups behind—and every booking supports verified dog rescues through our Paw It Forward pledge. Think of us as part wanderlust, part wagging tails, and 100% heart.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Social Media Content Director who lives and breathes dogs and animal welfare and knows how to make content that fetches attention. You’ll help us build our brand from the ground up, grow a loyal community, and create posts that make people smile, engage, and share.
What You’ll Do (a.k.a. Your Daily Tricks):
- Build and manage a content calendar for Instagram & Facebook (stories, reels, posts).
- Create scroll-stopping content—cute dogs, travel inspo, rescue spotlights, and more.
- Craft a fun, consistent voice that feels authentic to our dog-loving audience.
- Engage daily: reply to comments, DMs, and interact with other dog/travel communities and rescue organizations.
- Track performance and tweak strategies to keep tails wagging and numbers growing.
- Work closely with the founder on campaigns, launches, and rescue partnerships.
What We’re Looking For (Our Dream Human):
- You’ve managed social media for a pet or dog brand before (please share examples!).
- You understand trends, reels, hashtags, and what makes dog content go viral.
- Comfortable creating (or directing) visuals—photo, video, and basic editing skills are a plus.
- Passionate about dog rescue and advocacy (rescue experience is a huge bonus!).
- Organized, self-motivated, and ready to jump into start-up life.
Extra Bones (Bonus Points If You):
- Have experience with influencer and rescue outreach in the pet niche.
- Know your way around analytics and Meta Business Suite.
- Have creative ideas for integrating travel + rescue storytelling.
Hours & Pay:
- Approx. 10–15 hours/week to start (flexible schedule).
- Freelance or part-time; hourly or retainer rate negotiable based on experience.
