Kakaw Designs

Named after the chocolate tree pronounced <ke'kao>, we're a small artisanmade brand based in Guatemala that is founded on supporting talented artisan groups by creating unique and high-quality products together. We partner with different artisan groups around the country, bringing regional traditions together. Our products range from footwear, bags, and accessories for ethically-minded women around the world.

We believing in working with women whenever possible (all our textile partners are women), and paying well for good work (we pay above fair-trade standards).

This is a grassroots development effort in the form of simple employment, combined with deep appreciation for handmade crafts, traditions, and the people behind the work.
