Onesource Home Health and Hospice

Hospice focuses on the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of people with a life-limiting illness. Hospice care is for those who are no longer seeking curative treatment, but care that is focused on providing comfort and symptom management. We provide services to patients in their homes, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities.

Volunteering with hospice offers very flexible schedules. Volunteers are asked to provide about an hour of service a week.Before beginning, volunteers must complete at-home hospice training and training visits with the volunteer coordinator. While visiting with patients, volunteers can provide:

• Companionship
• Reading
• Light housekeeping, errands
• Respite for families
• Assist with family history
• Playing music
• Painting nails, etc.
