UT Hospice views death as a natural part of the life process. Our goal is to affirm a person's right to:
- Be in control of their life
- Be free from pain
- Die with dignity
Our hospice care teams include specially trained and experienced doctors, nurses, nurse aides, social workers and spiritual and bereavement counselors. As a hospice volunteer, you'll be an important member of the hospice care team, helping to serve a wide range of people with a variety of life-limiting illnesses. UT Hospice serves patients and families in Knox county and 15 surrounding counties. We are recognized as a 5-star hospice (the highest ranking) by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization through the "We Honor Vets" initiative.
