Over 20% of the population of Peru has no access to electricity. Inhabitants use costly kerosene lanterns, candles or flashlights with disposable batteries to provide poor light to their families once it is dark at 6pm. These methods are not only expensive, but create health and safety risks.
Buen Power Peru's mission is to bring affordable solar light through the means of personal solar lanterns, lights and panel systems to the poor in Peru that are mainly located in remote areas.
