TANTUVI

Tantuvi is a NY based design studio that works with artisan communities in India. We work in the cottage industry sector and support weavers by working with them to develop our rugs and textiles. All our products are hand dyed and hand woven, all hand made in non-factory environments, giving the artisans the flexibility of managing their day and community obligations. Many women are also trained to weave with their families or husbands providing more income and economical stability. We travel to India twice a year to develop our new designs and work on special projects. All our pieces are zero waste as there is no wastage from weaving and yarns are always reused or redyed. We strive to support these communities, while designing unique designs, reimagining what hand-made in India can be.
