These assets are in the area of affordable housing, commercial real estate in distressed neighborhoods, microfinance, social enterprises, clean energy, technology, sustainable agriculture, and healthcare for the poor. Deutsche Bank currently manages four funds in microfinance totaling approximately $200 million and also has the ability to use its balance sheet to further the field of social finance. These funds seek to provide social and financial returns to investors and include rated commercial, as well as socially motivated funds.
