Paul Chan Studio is the studio of visual artist Paul Chan. In January 2015 the Studio's Research & Development wing will initiate a series of projects advocating for artists, planned to culminate with the 2016 electoral cycle. Projects will focus on 1) challenging prevalent discourses about art in the mass media, 2) influencing legislation and electoral races that affect artists and 3) guiding arts institutions in developing best practices for working with artists. All projects will be developed from a foundation of rigorous research into current conditions in the arts.
