You don’t have to know how. That’s what we’re here for.
This class is carefully scaffolded. That means each skill builds on the next. You’ll go from “I don’t sing” to “wait... did I just sing a duet?” Think less “perfect pitch,” more “musical mischief”
Lots of people who take this class have never done improv! Or haven’t sung since high school! Or aren’t sure what to expect. Now, they’re performing in shows, creating improv teams, oandr just feeling braver in everyday life. You’ll get theater and stage skills too such as how to project, how to hold space on stage, and how to play to your audience.
Why this class? Why now?
Whether you want to be a better performer or a more confident person, musical improv can change your life!
Improv helps you get out of your head, be more playful, and surprise yourself. Some take it for stage experience. Some take it for joy.
If this idea’s been sitting in the back of your mind for a while, this is your invitation.
We’ll meet you where you are.
Meet your teachers
Brian and Sheree have been performing together on the long-running Baltimore Musical Improv team Bad Karaoke Experience since 2017. Both trained in improv and musical improv at Baltimore Improv Group and at the Magnet Theater in NYC, where they studied the specific fairy tale-style musical format taught in this class.
Fun fact: Brian is a non-practicing classical piano major. Sheree once played Dorothy in a production of The Wizard of Oz in Ohio.
Tell a friend! Word of mouth really matters.
If you’ve taken this class, or just think someone would love it, please send it their way. Maybe it’s the friend who asked about musical improv, or the student who wants something new, or a grown-up theater kid looking for a playful creative outlet.
