Sound The Alarm Event - Join the Red Cross for a day of Service

Join the American Red Cross, the Monaca Fire Department, and local community partners for a rewarding day of service dedicated to helping families stay safe from home fires.

Home fires remain one of the most common disasters across the United States, and working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death from a home fire by half. Through the Red Cross Sound the Alarm initiative, volunteers help install free smoke alarms and provide families with important home fire safety information.

No prior experience is necessary. Training, supplies, and support will be provided at the event. Volunteers will work in teams to visit homes in the Monaca area, install smoke alarms, and educate residents about creating an escape plan in case of a fire.
