We are looking for highly motivated and skilled Special Education (BES) Teachers to join our team at Marie Reed Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. We seek individuals who are passionate about transforming the DC school system and making a significant difference in the lives of our public school students, parents, and the greater DC community.
Marie Reed Elementary School is a diverse, multi-lingual learning community dedicated to nurturing the whole child to develop the values, character, and knowledge to become global citizens. We are proud to offer students enrollment into the English Language, Dual Language, or Behavior & Education Supports (BES) Programs, depending on space and student needs. Our students have enriching experiences, including Food Prints and gardening, swimming, and field trips. Students participate in music and art showcases and attend arts-related field trips throughout the year.
Signing bonuses of up to $7,500 will be awarded to rehired or new DCPS teachers who commit to teaching in Self-Contained Special Education (SPED) classrooms.
