About Lincoln and the 33rd Council District: Lincoln represents the 33rd Council District, which stretches from Greenpoint down to Brooklyn Heights along the Brooklyn waterfront.
Lincoln entered office in January 2022 with the goal of being the district’s 24/7 problem solver. Our office offers robust constituent services, spearheads organizing campaigns to proactively engage constituents on the issues that matter most, and leads on a variety of policy and legislative issues. Lincoln is dedicated to pushing forward-thinking policy on responding to climate change; creating truly affordable housing; bike infrastructure; and building non-police emergency response capacity.
Description of Position:
The District Director is responsible for managing all district operations, including overseeing the constituent services, community advocacy, and organizing & outreach work of the office. They will be responsible for ensuring that the office is deeply present in the community and that all community and constituent issues are responded to expeditiously and effectively. They will work closely with and oversee the office’s Community Advocates to develop relationships with community stakeholders, understand and solve community issues, and support initiatives that reflect the Council Member’s values and priorities. The District Director may also be responsible for the office’s land use portfolio. They will be a part of the senior leadership team in the office and will have the opportunity to drive a variety of key district initiatives.
Some evening and weekend work is required for this position.

Salary range: $80,000- $90,000, commensurate with experience
Additional Information:
New York City residency required within 90 days of appointment. This position will be primarily in-person at our District Office, 410 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn.
