Los Angeles County Department of Public Health had the opportunity to collaborate with The Food Bank and American Heart Association for the past year. The food distribution occurs the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at The Antelope Valley Health Center. The goal is to provide produce to those that are in need. During the food distribution COVID information and Wellness flyers are provided to the community members that attend. Initially the food distribution occurred once a month but due to the great success another date was added. Department of Public Health wants to continue to provide produce to those that have barriers impeding them from purchasing fresh produce.
