National Parks of New York Harbor - NPS

Sobre Nós

The National Parks of New York Harbor (NPNH) is an office of the National Park Service that coordinates the administration of ten NPS sites located in the New York metropolitan area. Stretching from The Battery at the southern tip of Manhattan into three boroughs and beyond the Verrazano Narrows Bridge to New Jersey, NPNH comprises 10 national parks with 22 special destinations. These include the African Burial Ground, Castle Clinton, Federal Hall, Theodore Roosevelt's Birthplace, General Grant's Tomb, Hamilton Grange, Saint Paul's Church, Gateway National Recreation Area, Governor's Island National Monument, and the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island.  Together, these locations make up over 27,000 acres and attract more than 12 million visitors each year. Through its preservation of these sites, the NPS tells the story of America and its leading city.  It is the mission of NPNH to enhance the identity, visibility and public support for these sites, to coordinate planning and policy initiatives, to serve as a liaison with NPS Regional and Washington offices, and to collaborate with a broad network of government and NGO partners in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area.
