Senator Heather Steans was recently elected to state legislature. Her legislative priorities include: improving access to health care, advocating for education funding and reform, reducing crime and violence, protecting human rights, and preserving a woman’s right to reproductive choice. The 7th District encompasses the Chicago north lakefront neighborhoods of Edgewater, Rogers Park, Uptown, Andersonville, Ravenswood and Lincoln Square.
