BBC Media Action is the BBC’s international development charity which uses of media and communications to tackle poverty and contribute to long-term change in some of the world’s poorest places. We do this through implementing governance, health and resilience projects in partnership with civil society, local media and governments.
BBC Media Action is largely funded by external grants, including from the UK's Department for International Development (DFID), the European Union, UN agencies and charitable foundations. Our Asia team currently has offices in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, India and Nepal; projects in Pakistan and Indonesia.
