Iowa COVID-19 Recovery AmeriCorps with Iowa Economic Development Authority

Since its inception in May 2020, the Iowa COVID-19 Recovery AmeriCorps program has placed more than 130 AmeriCorps members with host sites across the state. Our members have completed nearly 65,000 hours of service, supporting food banks, community gardens, youth service organizations and other local agencies responding to the increased need due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 Recovery AmeriCorps program focuses on Food Security, Economic Relief Services and Programs, Volunteer Management, and Disaster Recovery through partnering with local organizations addressing community identified needs.
