The mission of Office of Student Health and Wellness at Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is to remove health related barriers to learning for all CPS students.We know that healthy students are better learners and in the face of staggering child obesity rates across the country and in Chicago, the school environment plays an integral role, not only in promoting wellness during the school day, but establishing healthy habits that will continue beyond a student's time at CPS.
