    Graduate study at Illinois in Human Development and Family Studies focuses on addressing signficant social issues, developing advanced qualitative and quantitative research skills, and working in research groups with faculty who have distinguished scientific leadership roles.

    Areas of study include: Child and Youth Development in Context; Diversity Families, Poverty/Inequality, and Social Justice; Health and Well-being Across the Lifespan; and Interpersonal/Intimate Relationships.

    Students in our program become researchers, professors/educators, policy developers, and professionals who develop, evaluate, and implement programs for children, families and communities.

    We mentor our students and we provide financial support.
