Torrance Art Museum

The Torrance Art Museum (TAM) is a program of the Cultural Service Division of the City of Torrance Community Services Department. It is located in the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, the largest art complex in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County.

The mission of the TAM is to invigorate, delight and fascinate the South Bay community by exhibiting and interpreting works of visual arts through the emphasis of contemporary artistic expression. The TAM brings together visual artist and community members to fosters individual artistic expression and civic well-being by inspiring understanding and appreciation of the visual arts. The TAM promotes meaningful experiences in the arts to strengthen creative and critical thinking skills, and builds bridges between the visual arts and other disciplines.

The TAM encourages all people to develop and increase their understanding and appreciation for modern and contemporary artwork through exhibitions offered in its two gallery spaces, as well as educational programs, artist talks, lectures, and symposia.
