The UA School for Emergency Management

UASEM is a small public high school where students solve novel problems with novel solutions to build the skills, knowledge, and networks to be READY for college and career. By engaging in authentic learning experiences daily in the classroom and in the field, students develop the confidence to pursue their dreams and the character to serve their communities.

Our students engage with internships, student-led community training, and strong industry partnerships. We are invested in understanding our students’ needs for college and career readiness and developing the personal responsibility and empowerment of students, parents, and staff. UASEM currently offers two career pathways, one in Emergency Medicine where students receive free EMT training , certification, early college credit, and preferred hiring and one in Cyber Security with similar benefits.

UASEM has approximately 260 students and in the most recent academic year posted a 90% graduation rates, with most achievement metrics such as attendance, Regents scores, and perception survey data above the city-average.
