Soundview Academy for Culture and Scholarship

Soundview Academy, a high performing middle school located in the Bronx aims to:

• Provide a college preparatory curriculum that builds personalization into the core of content-area instruction through major exhibitions and culminating tasks in each content area in alignm ent with Common Core Learning Standards.
• To prioritize intercultural awareness and expression through the Arts and Languages (English and Spanish) within the school day and extracurricular school life to support our core cultural mission.
• To provide the necessary supports and structure for our students' social and emotional growth, as well as physical and mental health, as a necessary component of academic success.
• To infuse digital technology throughout the curriculum as a means of differentiating the learning experience for our students, including comprehensive, tech-based approaches to formative assessment that directly inform instructional implementation and development in alignment to our iZone status.
