Lindblom Math & Science Academy

Lindblom Math & Science Academy is a 7 - 12 grade public Selective Enrollment High School located in the West Engelewood community of Chicago. With over 100 students, LIndblom is unique: We have the largest Mandarin language program in Chicago with five full time teachers and over 600 students enrolled; we have the largest non-heritage Arabic program in the United States with two full-time teachers and over 240 students enrolled; Lindblom houses the Biotechnology Center of Excellence, a teacher training center in partnership with Baxter International, dedicated to providing teachers professional development to incorporate Biotechnology into their curricula.

In the fall of 2012, Lindblom will be opening the Center for Arabic Language and Culture, a center dedicated to expanding Arabic programs in the Chicagoland area and enhancing cultural understanding.

Lindblom's student body is 70% African-American, 27% Latino, 2% White, and 1% Asian. 80% of students receive free/reduced lunch. US News & World Report recently listed Lindblom as the 20th ranked school in Illinios.
