    Descrição

UW Medicine Advancement has an outstanding opportunity for a Director for Integrated Fundraising to join their team

At UW Medicine, we work to improve health for all people through excellence in clinical, research, and education and training programs. As the only comprehensive clinical, research and learning health system in the five-state WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) region, UW Medicine provides the most up-to-date care for each individual patient, leads one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive medical research programs, and provides innovative learning programs for students, trainees, and practitioners in the health professions.

The passionate, 95-person team at UW Medicine Advancement works collaboratively to connect donors with meaningful opportunities to enhance patient care, expand educational opportunities and advance research at UW Medicine. UW Medicine Advancement also engages alumni of the UW School of Medicine to foster lifelong connection to the School’s mission. This inspiring, challenging and rewarding work provides team members an opportunity to grow their careers, while making a difference in people’s lives, in our community and around the world. In the 2025 fiscal year, UW Medicine Advancement raised nearly $382 million in gifts and private grants (44 percent of the University of Washington’s total) from over 30,000 donors to support the mission of UW Medicine. You can find out more about UW Medicine Advancement’s priorities and office culture on our career website: https://give.uwmedicine.org/careers/

The Collaborative Fundraising Team at UW Medicine Advancement is dedicated to creating the strategies, systems, and relationships that make partnership possible and productive. The team works alongside fundraisers and leadership as trusted thought‑partners to spark new ideas and strengthen collaborative efforts. Together, they foster efficient and impactful collaboration among UW Medicine Advancement teams, faculty and clinical leadership, University Advancement and external affiliates. The team facilitates expanded opportunities to partner with external organizations, connecting shared missions and resources to amplify philanthropic results for UW Medicine.

The Director for Integrated Fundraising (Director) reports to the Senior Director for Collaborative Fundraising Strategy and serves as a facilitator, operational designer and strategic connector across UW Medicine’s core mission areas—clinical care, research, and education—and the advancement team to facilitate the translation of institutional clinical priorities into compelling, cohesive integrated fundraising opportunities. This role creates tools, frameworks and resources that strengthen coordination across hospitals, the School of Medicine, and advancement teams to drive high-impact philanthropic strategies that support enterprise-wide goals, including major initiatives such as the Harborview Medical Center Tower and UW Medical Center Hospital of the Future.

A key focus of the Director is fostering a collaborative fundraising culture that engages clinicians in partnership with hospital leadership while advancing centralized, transformational clinical priorities. The role removes operational barriers and develops resources that streamline operations for School of Medicine fundraisers involved in clinical fundraising, advance hospital fundraising goals, and ensure that clinical excellence programs are effectively positioned with donors. The Director also supports consistent approaches to proposal development and proposal credit, strengthens processes for cultivating donors whose interests span multiple mission areas, and helps fundraising partners navigate operational challenges requiring leadership alignment.

The Director supports system-level planning that integrates clinical, research, and educational priorities into coordinated donor strategies. This includes the development of resources to facilitate interdisciplinary cultivation approaches, unified mission representation in donor touchpoints such as tours and events, and standardized practices for proposal development. By advancing cross-team alignment and enabling seamless collaboration among hospital partners and Advancement colleagues, the Director strengthens enterprise-wide fundraising effectiveness and elevates the donor experience across the UW Medicine mission.
