    Descrição

Job Overview: The Marketing and Business Development Director is responsible for leading targeted marketing and awareness initiatives to drive increased grant applications and high-impact donor engagement. This role oversees creative design, execution and performance results related to GOA’s referral marketing, digital presence, website, and new business (fundraising) partnerships. This role will ensure that SEO, AIO, SMO, website design, and content all align with the targeted goals and values. This role also leads business development activity including referral outreach to adoption professionals, healthcare partners, and condition-specific communities, and is responsible for creating and managing revenue-generating promotional partnerships that fund named grant programs and/or create new revenue streams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Target Marketing Strategy and Execution
      • Develop and implement targeted marketing plans to drive significant and sustained increases in qualified grant applications and high-impact donor introductions.
    • Business Development and Referral Outreach
      • Develop and execute referral outreach plans to drive qualified Tier 1 grant applications.
      • Build and manage geography-based outreach strategies, prioritizing target markets and underserved regions where grant funding is available.
      • Develop and manage condition-specific and population-specific named fund outreach plans in partnership with healthcare providers, disease foundations, and advocacy organizations (e.g., CF Family Fund, foster care networks).
      • Create and execute radiothon campaigns including securing station relationships, and managing logistics.
      • Create and manage program for ‘back selling’ grants to interested groups (Kiwanis, Rotaries, Community Foundations, etc.)
    • Website and Digital Optimization
      • Oversee the performance, messaging, and brand alignment of the Gift of Adoption website.
      • Partner with external creative and web development agencies to manage design, layout, and major updates.
      • Manage and optimize digital marketing channels, including Google Ads, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
      • Ensure SEO and AIO best practices are implemented across all digital platforms.
      • Monitor and improve SMO (Social Media Optimization) to enhance visibility and engagement.
    • Fund Management
      • Develop and steward national grant Funds in partnership with targeted donor groups, associations, and condition-specific communities.
      • Manage fund-level marketing to ensure named funds are visible to and utilized by their intended beneficiary populations.
    • Campaign Management
      • Plan and execute integrated marketing and PR campaigns around key national events and awareness initiatives.
      • Track campaign performance and provide post-campaign analysis and recommendations.

    Preferred Skills and Abilities:

Proven track record in developing and executing marketing programs that drive measurable results.

    • Expertise in SEO, SMO, AI/LLM optimization, referral marketing, and digital campaign management. Strong experience with website design and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace).
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Constant Contact, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
    • Experience in cause-marketing partnerships, radiothon production, or media-driven fundraising campaigns.
    • Demonstrated success in generating (and retaining) new business relationships and partnerships.
    • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills. Ability to travel occasionally for events or meetings.
    • Comfortable operating in a scrappy, fast-moving environment where strategy and execution are both position responsibilities
    • Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this position. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in marketing, sales, or a related field.
    • 5-7 years of progressive experience in marketing, with expertise in digital strategy
    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, supervise staff, and manage external partners to deliver high-impact marketing outcomes.
    • Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues and volunteers to accomplish objectives, including the ability to work closely with the Development, Chapter, and Program teams to align marketing efforts with programmatic and fundraising goals.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and manage external referral and partnership pipelines, not just internal marketing programs
    • Experience connecting marketing activity directly to measurable outcomes including revenue, applications, or donor acquisition
