    Position Overview

    The Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships (Consultant) will play a pivotal role in scaling Listening from the Heart (LfTH), a peace education program promoting meaningful dialogue around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Working closely with the Executive Director, this role will drive the expansion of university, high school, and faith-based partnerships; facilitate workshops and trainings; and build the institutional partnerships and infrastructure necessary to support sustainable program growth across the country.

    This is a 75% consultant role (30 hours/week). The consultant will be responsible for setting and managing their schedule to deliver outcomes, with flexibility for travel and evening events as needed.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Partnerships and Program Expansion

    • Implement AFPCFF’s 2025–2026 expansion plan for Listening from the Heart, across three tracks:
      • University Partnerships and Campus Fellowships
      • High School District Expansion
      • Faith-Based Community Engagement
    • Cultivate and manage long-term relationships with universities, school districts, and faith-based community organizations.
    • Support integration of LfTH into campus and community settings, including residencies, workshops, and facilitator training.
    • Serve as the primary liaison for partner organizations, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and mutual benefit.
    • Develop and implement strategies to market the program to potential partners, positioning it as a valuable tool for fostering dialogue and understanding
    • Facilitate the program amongst diverse communities and deliver impactful training and workshop experiences
    • Stay informed about developments in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and education, and apply this knowledge to enhance the organization’s work
    • Oversee the student fellowship model, supporting peer-led dialogue circles.
    • Establish goals and monitor the progress of these initiatives, ensuring they are on track to meet objectives and deliverables
    • Represent AFPCFF at conferences, convenings, and partner events.

    Program Design, Delivery, and Evaluation

    • Promote fellowships, workshops, training sessions, and dialogue programs with partner institutions.
    • Facilitate workshops, trainings, and dialogue sessions that support participant learning and engagement
    • Establish benchmarks for measuring outcomes and track progress.
    • Document program impact for reporting, communications, and fundraising purposes.

    Resource Development and Communications

    • Support the Executive Director in identifying funding opportunities linked to program expansion.
    • Draft reports, proposals, and donor materials that highlight the reach and impact of LfTH.
    • Collaborate on communications strategies to increase national awareness of the program.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
    • 5-7 years of experience in partnerships, program management, or a related field.
    • 2–3 years of facilitation or training experience, ideally in cross-cultural or emotionally sensitive settings.
    • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and manage strategic institutional relationships.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to peacebuilding or social justice work, particularly related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
    • Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who embraces the creation of new initiatives
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage partners across diverse contexts.
    • Entrepreneurial and flexible, with experience working independently in a remote environment.
    • Fundraising/resource development experience desirable.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally.
