Summer Camp Director & Teaching Artists

RiverArts is hiring team members for our beloved day camp, SummerArts! This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a multi-disciplinary arts education program in the heart of Westchester, NY.

We are actively hiring for two roles:

Summer Camp Director

This 6-month contracted position is 80% remote (camp weeks are fully onsite). We're seeking an experienced arts educator able to confidently lead all aspects of a 3-week, 120 student camp program this August. Contract period is 10hrs/month March-July, 40hrs/week August 3-21, and 10hrs/week August 22-28. Duties include hiring summer faculty and counselors, handling enrollment, arranging supply orders, and managing all onsite personnel and activities during camp sessions. Compensation is $40/hour.

Summer Teaching Artists

We are hiring for 10 artists who have experience with and enjoy teaching students in grades 3-9. Have an artistic medium you'd love to share with the next generation? We are looking for artists who work in visual arts, music, dance, theater, poetry, and more to serve as faculty for our multi-disciplinary camp program. Each instructor leads 4 class sessions each day for 1 week, with classes capped at 12 students. Must be available to lead camp(s) between Aug 3-7, 10-14, or 17-21. Compensation for each 40hour camp week is $25-30/hour.
