    The Brearley School, an independent girls’ school serving over 770 students K-12, welcomes candidates for a full-time position as Coordinator of Middle School Student Activities, beginning August 11, 2025.

    Responsibilities include:

    • collaborating with a team of dedicated faculty and staff to guide 'girls of adventurous intellect and diverse backgrounds' in their Middle School journey.
    • supervising Middle School after-school activities, to include registering students, maintaining rosters, responding to parent and teacher questions, and coordinating day-to-day logistics for the fall, winter, and spring trimesters.
    • leading the Middle School student supervision structures of recess, lunch, and study hall under the direction of the Head of Middle School Student Life
    • managing the Middle School summer mini-camp in the last two weeks of June
    • supporting Middle School service and engagement-based activities in partnership with the Office of Equity and Community Engagement
    • overseeing the Middle/Upper School homework buddy program
    • supporting the transition of new Middle School students to Brearley
    • assisting the Middle School office and, when needed, providing coverage for the Assistant to the Head of Middle School Student Life
    • providing substitute coverage for Middle School teachers
    • serving as a Middle School Homeroom Teacher and Advisor

    The ideal candidate will:

    • have a bachelor’s degree
    • have experience in working with Middle School-aged students
    • demonstrate the desire to work collaboratively with a wide-range of constituencies including students, parents, faculty and staff
    • have an interest in the education of girls
    • have a commitment to cultivating a diverse, inclusive, antiracist community and to fostering student belonging

    Salary

    In 2025-2026, the total salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 depending on years of full-time relevant experience.
