    Anthos|Home is an innovative nonprofit transforming the way New York City residents with housing subsidies locate and secure stable housing. Modeled after Brilliant Corners in California, Anthos|Home streamlines the apartment search, approval, and move-in processes while addressing gaps in the NYC voucher housing system. We aim to be a game-changer for New Yorkers who are unhoused or at risk of homelessness.

    The Role

    The Finance Operations Supervisor will report to the Director of Operations and play a key role in overseeing the Finance functions of the Operations team, supporting repairs, move-ins, and contract processes. This position will oversee financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and manage communication with vendors, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure these processes are completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. They will demonstrate strong leadership skills, flexibility, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

    The successful candidate will excel at managing multiple priorities effectively while working collaboratively across teams to meet deadlines and deliver outstanding participant experiences, all while supporting Anthos|Home’s mission of providing stable housing solutions for New Yorkers in need.

    Supervision & Leadership

    • Provide daily supervision, coaching, and guidance to team members responsible for financial processes, repairs, move-ins, and contract execution.
    • Act as an escalation point for complex issues, providing clear direction and support to resolve challenges effectively.
    • Foster a positive team environment by encouraging collaboration, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.

    Process Management & Oversight

    • Supervise the approval and issuance of hold fees, rent arrears, broker fees, and repair payments on a weekly basis.
    • Oversee advance payments to cover gaps in property provider payments.
    • Manage vendor and service provider relationships to support efficient repair, move-in, and ongoing service needs, prioritizing emergency situations.
    • Ensure landlord payment inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of landlord and broker agreements, participant application submissions, and program-specific payments to ensure quality assurance and data integrity.

    Collaboration & Communication

    • Act as a key liaison between Operations, Tenant Coordination, and Housing Acquisition teams to address inquiries and ensure seamless participant support.
    • Collaborate with Finance to confirm banking information, process timely payments, and maintain payment records.
    • Engage with internal and external partners to identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
    • Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports for improved data visibility and performance tracking.

    Compliance & Quality Assurance

    • Uphold Anthos|Home’s commitment to compliance by implementing internal controls, reviewing processes for adherence to policies, and supporting documentation best practices.
    • Ensure tenant files are managed securely and confidentially.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of experience in operations, finance, or a related role.
    • Proven experience supervising staff, providing coaching, and acting as an escalation point to resolve issues.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Strong communication skills to foster collaboration, resolve inquiries, and engage with partners.
    • Commitment to maintaining accurate records, ensuring data integrity, and upholding compliance standards.
    • Experience in property management, housing programs, or social services is a plus.

    Required Skills

    • Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and implement processes in a startup environment.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to supervise, coach, and guide staff effectively.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data management and reporting.
    • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce to track records, manage workflows, and generate reports.
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and stay organized.
    • Excellent communication skills for managing relationships, resolving escalated issues, and collaborating across teams.
    • Analytical problem-solving skills to identify issues, streamline processes, and drive solutions.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Competitive Pay: $80,000 - $85,000 salary range (dependent on experience)
    • Hybrid work environment (2-5 days in office/field per week)
