Bridges Baltimore Overview
Bridges Baltimore is a Baltimore-based non-profit organization committed to the long-term success of Baltimore City youth and to providing life-changing opportunities to independent school students. Bridges programs currently serve over 900 participants per year – 530 Baltimore City youth ages 9-23 and 400 independent school students – across four locations with continued expansion plans over the coming decade.
The Opportunity
Bridges Baltimore is seeking an organized, adaptable, relationship oriented, and efficient full-time Administrative Coordinator for our non-profit organization. This role blends office management, departmental coordination, and executive support — ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in working behind the scenes to support a team, and will take ownership of administrative details.
Summary of responsibilities
- Office management coordination: Includes keeping the office facility and technology in good working order, coordinating activities with vendors for the space, and maintaining appropriate levels of supplies, food, and materials.
- Departmental coordination: Includes supporting core organizational functions like (1) External Affairs with mail collection, gift entry and acknowledgements, and event support, (2) Operations with subscriptions and information tracking, internal calendar management, purchasing, staff recruitment, and employee life-cycle activities, (3) Programs with data collection, data entry, and admissions tracking.
- Executive coordination: Includes managing calendar invites and links for meetings, setting up technology and logistics at Board meetings, and assisting with record keeping and expense reporting.
The Ideal Candidate
- Shows commitment to the organization’s mission and a desire to excel in this role.
- Has an undergraduate degree as well as 4-8 years of full-time work experience with a track record of consistent success.
- Has experience and a demonstrated strength in one or more of the following areas – non-profit administration, human resources, finance, executive assistance, or operational support.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, who will build trust across a diverse set of relationships within our organization.
- Operates with sound judgment, exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality, has strong organization and time management skills, and follows through with attention to detail.
- Generally proficient in learning / utilizing workplace technology including Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, AI-enabled productivity tools such as Claude, shared online calendars, internet search, email, online purchasing, and productivity tools / applications.
- Thrives working with a team and with autonomy and is both consistent and adaptable.
- Has reliable transportation.
Role Details
- Compensation: The salary for this full-time 12-month role is $60,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Bridges Baltimore’s comprehensive benefits program which includes, but is not limited to, medical, dental, vision, disability, 403(b) with employer matching; FSA options; paid vacation, sick, & holiday time; auxiliary insurance; meal benefit; etc.
- Start Date: This role will start in the Fall of 2026.
- Supervision: This role reports to the Executive Director.
- Location: The Administrative Coordinator role is based at Bridges Baltimore’s central office (Baltimore, MD) and will come with some hybrid flexibility.
- Hours: This 40-hour-per-week role will typically follow traditional business hours. It may include occasional evenings and weekends.
