We seek a motivated, resourceful, and positive individual to increase the supply of affordable housing and lower-income residents’ access to it. This position will support the Greater Miami Housing Funders Collaborative to accelerate investments in affordable housing across Miami-Dade. A major part of this position’s responsibility is being in the community and sourcing potential projects to present to the Funders Collaborative. The Funders Collaborative includes for-profit and non-profit financial institutions, public agencies, and philanthropic organizations. This position will work closely with our contracted partner, Enterprise Community Partners. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship-builder and project manager with deep knowledge of housing and community development, coalition management, and systems-level collaboration.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Pipeline Cultivation and Identification

      • Maintaining relationships with developers and routinely checking in on the status of projects.
      • Meeting with developers who could be a fit for the Funders Collaborative Pipeline Review.
      • Marketing activities for the Pipeline Review including developing externally facing materials, working with MHFA Communications Manager to ensure MHFA branding and dissemination on social media.
    • Manage Neighborly, an online application portal for housing projects.
    1. Relationship & Resource Development and Management:
    • Partner with Enterprise to implement a capital strategy for affordable housing projects, including research on external funding models, conversations with potential funders, fund management and structure strategic advice.
      • Identify and pursue funding resources to implement the capital strategy.
    • Recruit housing funders to join the Collaborative and consider affordable housing development applications for investment.
    • Monitor local and state housing policy developments and identify opportunities for collective advocacy. Synthesize research, data, and best practices to inform coalition strategy.
    • Support the coalition in developing and executing a multi-year strategic plan to increase affordable housing outcomes.
    • Identify opportunities for joint funding, policy alignment, and resource leveraging among coalition members.
    • Cultivate relationships with community development organizations, local government, developers, and advocacy partners.
    • Represent the coalition and organization at public meetings, conferences, and community events.
    • Ensure transparent communication with external partners and the broader housing ecosystem.
    • Manage relationships with developers, investors, and key stakeholders to support the Collaborative’s success and alignment with strategic goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies for leveraging and maximizing funding opportunities.
    • Analyze and assess funding requirements for various projects, providing recommendations for allocation.
    • Assist Enterprise in providing technical assistance to developers as they prepare their applications and pitches.
