Social Media Content Creator - Part-time

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is searching for a creative social media content creator to produce short-form video content and social media graphics in support of CSPI’s policy campaigns. The individual will work closely with CSPI’s social media and policy campaign teams to develop engaging, platform-native content primarily for TikTok that advances CSPI’s corporate accountability campaigns and amplifies key policy initiatives.

This is a short-term consulting opportunity for 10 months. Services to be performed include:

• Pitch, ideate, draft scripts, film/create, and edit 2–3 short-form videos per week
• Primary platform: TikTok; content repurposed to Instagram Reels and other short-form channels
• Design single static graphics and multi-panel carousels that translate policy trackers to accessible visual content
• Track performance metrics for CSPI campaign-specific content

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience producing short-form video content for TikTok and/or Instagram Reels
• Strong scriptwriting, on-camera or narration skills, and video editing proficiency
• Experience designing social graphics and carousels (Canva, Adobe Suite, Figma, or similar)
• Ability to translate complex policy content into accessible, engaging formats for general audiences

Contract Timeline & Pay Rate:

This is a remote, part-time contract position for about 15-20 hours per week for a 10-month duration. Applicants must be based in the U.S. The pay rate is $3,000 per month for monthly deliverables specified by CSPI, including creating approximately 8-12 short form videos per month each month of the contract duration.
