    Position Overview

Do you believe every child deserves a caring mentor and the opportunity to fall in love with reading? Join Read to a Child as a Program Coordinator, where you'll play a vital role in bringing our Read Aloud Mentoring Program (RAMP) to life. By coordinating volunteers, partnering with schools, and supporting meaningful mentor-student relationships, you'll help elementary students build confidence, improve literacy skills, and experience the power of reading.

RAMP pairs volunteer mentors with Kindergarten through 4th grade students for a fun and rewarding weekly read-aloud session during the school day. As the Program Coordinator, you'll be the heart of the program at your assigned school, helping every mentor, student, and school partner enjoy a positive, well-organized, and impactful experience.

In this role, you'll coordinate the day-to-day operations of the program, build strong relationships with volunteers and school staff, manage scheduling and program records, and create an environment where students can thrive.

This Program Coordinator role is an on-site position working in schools directly with students. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a school environment and maintaining all safety protocols required by the school.

This role is extremely important to the program’s success and will be an integral part of a fun and collaborative team! Our Program Coordinators are truly the face of our program and make a real difference in the lives of our students every year. If you're organized, people-focused, and passionate about making a difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you.
