Platform Design and Hosting (Urban Minutes)

Background

Urban Minutes is Syrbanism's public communication platform, through which the work makes

urban recovery and Housing, Land and Property (HLP) information accessible and helps rebuild

trust between municipalities, citizens and other actors. The platform needs to be clear,

accessible and trusted as a neutral, independent space.

Objective

To design and set up the Urban Minutes online platform, including its interface, structure and

hosting, so that it is accessible, usable and reliably and securely available throughout

implementation.

Scope of work and deliverables

• User interface and experience design for the Urban Minutes platform, covering structure,

navigation, bulletin templates and accessibility.

• Bilingual Arabic and English, responsive design suitable for mobile first use and low

connectivity conditions.

• Hosting setup and configuration providing secure and stable performance for the period of

the assignment.

• Design source files and specifications for hand over to the development and IT provider.

Note on scope

This assignment is the Urban Minutes platform design and hosting. It is separate from

Syrbanism's corporate website, and from the platform technical development and IT support,

which is commissioned separately.

Required qualifications

• Strong user interface and experience design portfolio, ideally for publishing or public

information platforms;

• Experience with bilingual Arabic and English and accessible, responsive design;
• Ability to configure secure hosting and to hand over clean specifications.

Timeline

The assignment is expected to be completed within approximately 60 to 90 days from

contracting, against a schedule to be agreed.

Interested providers are invited to submit, for potential contracting: a cost estimate (net of VAT)

with a brief breakdown, a short proposal outlining approach and timeline, relevant work samples,

Reporting, IP and confidentiality

The selected provider reports to the assignment lead at Syrbanism, and deliverables are subject

to review and acceptance. All deliverables and the associated rights of use pass to Syrbanism on

provider treats project information as confidential and handles any personal data in line with

applicable data protection requirements.
