SPVS - the Wildlife Research and Environmental Education Society, based in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, works in the field of biodiversity conservation with a focus on the Atlantic Forest Biome.
SPVS maintains three private nature reserves along the northern coast of Paraná, where it has been active since 1990. The organization focuses on the conservation of Atlantic Rainforest endemic species, such as the red-tailed parrot and the black-faced lion tamarin, among other initiatives aimed at protecting the region’s biodiversity.
SPVS is also a leading force behind the Atlantic Forest Great Reserve initiative—a supra-institutional effort launched in 2018 to protect the largest well-preserved remnant of the Atlantic Forest biome. This area spans 2.7 million hectares across the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina, and São Paulo.

As part of the organization’s strategic efforts, we are seeking a professional with experience in leading conservation organizations outside Brazil, and a CV with a track record managing high-impact projects supported by international funding institutions.
This notice seeks to identify potential candidates interested in this position, in order for SPVS to initiate a formal selection process, which will be outlined in a detailed Terms of Reference.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating the work of the SPVS technical team within the GRMA, designing and implementing a high-impact conservation program. The role involves establishing partnerships with regional stakeholders and organizations, ensuring effective communication, and securing external funding (both national and international) to support the program’s development.
