Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and strategic storyteller to join our team in Mumbai (Worli). This full-time, office-based role is designed to build and deliver impactful narratives across social media, websites, digital forums, and blogs. The ideal candidate will have a specialized background in Social Impact Reporting, CSR communications, or sustainability journalism, and the ability to translate complex program data into high-quality content that inspires action.
Key Responsibilities:
- Long-Form Storytelling & Reporting
- Feature Stories: Develop in-depth narratives focusing on beneficiaries, program efficacy, and partnership highlights.
- Impact Reporting: Conduct interviews and gather evidence to draft well-researched pieces for annual reports, press releases, and project pages.
- Short-Form Content & Engagement
- Social Narratives: Create punchy captions and short narratives for social media, blogs, and internal newsletters.
- Brand Voice: Maintain the organization's authentic voice while ensuring all digital content is optimized for quick readership and accuracy
- Writing Thought Leadership & Strategy
- Style Governance: Maintain a consistent style guide for all social impact communications.
- Trend Analysis: Identify emerging trends in impact measurement to keep narratives relevant and credible.
- Data Translation: Collaborate with program teams to distill complex data into accessible, impactful summaries.
- Innovation: Propose new narrative formats to maximize audience reach and engagement.
Required Qualifications & Experiences:
- Experience: 4-5 years of professional writing/reporting, specifically in social impact, CSR, nonprofit communications, or investigative journalism.
- Portfolio: A strong body of work demonstrating expertise in both long-form and short-form digital media.
- Core Skills: Exceptional interviewing, research, and fact-checking abilities; skilled at turning quantitative data into human-centered narratives.
- Voice & Tone: Ability to pivot between formal report writing and empathetic storytelling without losing editorial integrity.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, from executive leadership to program beneficiaries.
