Position Summary

The Visiting Research Associate II for the 988/Crisis Hub will provide administrative coordination and support for research, communication, and policy and community engagement at local levels throughout the state for the successful implementation of Illinois' 988.

This position will be collaboratively as part of the project team for the 988 implementation and associated initiatives, including 590, 400, CESSA, and others. The project team activities will involve shared contributions for project management, information management, relationship management and communications, training, reporting, and quality improvement, and ensure that team activities are seamless, individualized, and appropriate for each of the communities across the state.

Duties & Responsibilities

This position will carry out the general tasks and duties of research associates and will support and coordinate administrative project management with a focus on the following responsibilities:

• Perform surveys, interviews, observations, or other methods according to established research protocols.
• Assist in data collection and analysis for the administration of online surveys and assessments to a statewide audience, coordinate communications, collection, and storage of survey results.
• Support analysis plans, report-writing, and dissemination of results; prepare reports including visual and narrative summaries of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the execution of tasks, including but not limited to improving administrative and operational systems and platforms related to the program.
• May assist with study protocol development.
• Coordinate the ordering, inventory, and maintenance of equipment, instruments, and data collection and analysis tools.
• Prepare and contribute statistical data and pertinent information for papers, grants, and other documents.
• Complete required documentation for regulatory agencies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Convening and Committee Participation

• Coordinate and support the work of program activities such as online meetings, webinars, conference calls, and in-person engagement events to accomplish project goals. This includes scheduling meetings, organizing and managing logistics, communicating with participants, producing pre‐meeting agendas and related materials, and documenting meeting content such as meeting minutes, results, and action steps.
• Maintain current program records and files through multiple project-specific databases and project management systems.
• Compile information related to project domains and tag and enter information into the program knowledgebase to track projects, resources, and publications relevant to the work of 988 and its associated initiatives (590, 400, CESSA).
• Convene potential partners at local levels across the state to assure all relevant parties are part of the planning and execution of linkage agreements between LLCs and appropriate providers.

Communications

• Build and foster relationships with awardees, partners, participants, advisers, etc. Participate in check-in calls with awardees, partners, and committee members to document project progress, identify technical assistance needs, and facilitate connections to other communities, and identify opportunities to support and advance their initiative.
• Participate in the various learning communities and contribute to the discussions, share resources, and work to maintain vibrant engagement on the platform.
• Prepare and submit all required reports to state and national funders/partners.

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required.
  • A minimum of one year related research experience.
  • Knowledge of research concepts, practices and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• • Experience with Survey Monkey or Qualtrix
  • Experience with InDesign or Canva
  • Experience with mapping software like Metopio
  • Interest, knowledge or experience with behavioral health crises and the behavioral health crisis continuum in Illinois
