    Descrição

    The Program Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing and implementing Zero Foodprint’s Conservation Innovation Grant (CIG) with the US Composting Council (USCC). This will involve working in partnership with the US Composting Council and 10 other partners, in California, Colorado, and Washington State. This role includes project management specifically to identify farm projects, run the application and scoring process for on-farm project applications, oversee contracting and funds administration with grant recipients and partners, and maintain the project database for regular reporting that complies with federal grant standards. This position will work closely with other ZFP staff to leverage existing and in-house expertise to create program specific processes.

    The Program Manager is responsible for communicating with USDA and USCC to maintain compliance and communicating the necessary program requirements to all partners and on-farm grant recipients.

    This position also ensures internal controls are followed and that expenses claimed for reimbursement are within program and agency guidelines and are properly documented and approved. This position requires a highly organized and dynamic individual, with proven grant and project management experience and a strong background managing grants, communication, and budget management. Must be both strategic (big picture) and detail oriented. This position requires strong computer skills, time management skills and the ability to multitask.

    This position will grow to support other projects and programs of Zero Foodprint.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Be the main point of contact for partners and grant recipients as related to this program.
    • Execute the application scoring process and selecting awardees, moving them through a process including, notification, contracting, funds distribution, and reporting.
    • Ensure contracts are executed in a timely fashion.
    • Track and ensure on-farm projects are moving forward with appropriate steps and documentation.
    • Maintain up to date project information in project management software such as Monday.com and Airtable
    • Track and oversee project budget including Technical Assistance Providers, on-farm grants, and administrative costs.
    • Creating reports for partners and USDA.
    • Program support for other Zero Foodprint projects

    Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

    Required:

    • Self-directed and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
    • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
    • Fluency in Google Suite, Monday.com, Asana, or other project management software
    • Knowledge of one of the following areas; federal and/or state grants management, project management, and/or proven ability to adapt your skillset to a new content area.
    • Experience with regenerative/climate-smart/conservation agriculture.

    Additional considerations to include in your application if applicable:

    • Spanish language proficiency
    • Primary residence in California, Colorado, or Washington
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
