The Program Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing and implementing Zero Foodprint’s Conservation Innovation Grant (CIG) with the US Composting Council (USCC). This will involve working in partnership with the US Composting Council and 10 other partners, in California, Colorado, and Washington State. This role includes project management specifically to identify farm projects, run the application and scoring process for on-farm project applications, oversee contracting and funds administration with grant recipients and partners, and maintain the project database for regular reporting that complies with federal grant standards. This position will work closely with other ZFP staff to leverage existing and in-house expertise to create program specific processes.
The Program Manager is responsible for communicating with USDA and USCC to maintain compliance and communicating the necessary program requirements to all partners and on-farm grant recipients.
This position also ensures internal controls are followed and that expenses claimed for reimbursement are within program and agency guidelines and are properly documented and approved. This position requires a highly organized and dynamic individual, with proven grant and project management experience and a strong background managing grants, communication, and budget management. Must be both strategic (big picture) and detail oriented. This position requires strong computer skills, time management skills and the ability to multitask.
This position will grow to support other projects and programs of Zero Foodprint.
