Grants Specialist
Full-Time | Remote (EST - must be located in one of the following states: CT, NC, MA, NY, TN, KY, TX)
Salary: $65,000–$75,000

Love146 is a human rights organization working to prevent child trafficking and provide holistic care for survivors. We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and proactive Grants Specialist to help expand and sustain the funding needed to carry out this mission.
As a key member of our Development Team, you will play a vital role in supporting our government and institutional grants portfolio—strengthening current donor relationships, identifying new opportunities, and crafting compelling proposals that drive meaningful, long-term impact. What You’ll Do
Planning & Strategy
- Support the Director of Grants in forecasting future grant directions and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Prospect Research
- Conduct targeted research to identify new institutional funders, focusing on government agencies and foundations, while expanding into private-sector and individual funders.
- Help cultivate a strong network of potential supporters through outreach, meetings, presentations, and site visits.
Grant Writing
- Draft concept notes and proposals across organizational initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with programs, finance, operations, and development teams to craft persuasive, well-aligned funding requests.
- Ensure project designs meet funder guidelines and accurately reflect organizational goals.
- Gather information from relevant staff to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
- Maintain and improve systems to capture and reuse proposal language efficiently.
Grant Support
- Work with Finance, Operations, and others on grantor-led audits.
- Participate in regular staff and development meetings.
- Build strong knowledge of Love146’s programming to ensure funding requests accurately reflect our work and needs.
- Support grant reporting and compliance as needed.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to trafficking, grant writing, and nonprofit fundraising.
Data Integrity
- Ensure Salesforce CRM records are accurate, up-to-date, and complete for all grants.
- Assist in maintaining documentation of funder interactions and requirements.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, English, Social Work, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of grant writing and/or grant-funded program experience; U.S. Government grant experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven success securing or renewing grant funding.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with grant budgets and programmatic reporting.
- Experience with relational databases; Salesforce preferred.
