    Seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to perform AP/AR accounting duties. This is a great opportunity to apply your accounting knowledge within a non-profit setting, supporting an organization focused on environmental protection.

    What You Get

    What You’ll Do:

    • Perform weekly check runs and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Prepare journal entries, review GL coding and maintain supporting documentation for all transactions.
    • Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data.
    • Assist with the closing of federal grants and fiscal year audit.

    We’re looking for candidates with:

    • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, accounting, or a related field with related accounting experience.
    • Excellent computer skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational ability.
    • Knowledge of GAAP principles and non-profit or grant accounting experience preferred.

    Logistics

    This is a full-time, in-office position based in NEIWPCC’s Headquarters office, located at 650 Suffolk Street, Lowell, MA 01854. Duties will be performed largely in an office setting, but with a need for travel, for which a valid driver’s license and private means of transportation are required. After six months, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule, subject to approval and program needs.
