The City University of New York’s Office of K16 Initiatives advances systemic change by building innovative partnerships that promote educational equity. Our mission is to empower young New Yorkers to envision, prepare for, and achieve successful futures by dismantling structural barriers and expanding access to college and career pathways.

Serving more than 100,000 students annually, K16 Initiatives operates at the intersection of the nation’s largest public university system (CUNY) and its largest public school system (NYC Public Schools). This unique partnership creates a powerful platform for impact across the K16 continuum.

The Teaching & Learning Team designs and delivers high-impact educational experiences across K16 programs, with particular emphasis on dual enrollment initiatives, including CUNY Early College High Schools and College Now. Reporting to the Senior Director of Teaching & Learning, the Curriculum and Instructional Specialist supports the development and implementation of professional learning experiences, instructional resources, and coaching aligned with K16’s mission to advance college readiness and student success.
