    Descrição

The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) is seeking a part-time Consumers for a Better Grid Communications Coordinator. CUB is an independent nonprofit created by the Illinois legislature “to promote the health, welfare and prosperity of all the citizens of this State by ensuring effective and democratic representation of utility consumers.” We work for more inclusive decision-making at the obscure regulatory bodies whose actions have a direct impact on our utility bills. Through CUB’s Consumers for a Better Grid campaign, we hold grid operators, like PJM Interconnection, accountable to consumers, states, and a clean, affordable energy future. The Consumers for a Better Grid Communications Coordinator will create and leverage content aimed at shining a light on PJM and mobilizing public engagement.

    • Strong preference for candidates located in Illinois, Washington DC, or Maryland.

    • Create impactful, visually pleasing content (videos, graphics, photos, etc.) for social media platforms, the website, blog, fact sheets, and staff presentations.
    • Liaise with communications partners to ensure that messages are aligned with overall strategy.
