Applicants for a teaching position at Harkness must have at least a Bachelor's degree, at least 2 years of teaching experience, strong recommendation letters, and the desire to work with bright and motivated high school students for a minimum of 2 years. Enthusiasm for the subject matter is a must. At Harkness, students learn mostly through discussions, so excellent communication skills are necessary. The maximum class size is 14 students.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: create lesson plans, teach up to 26 hours/week, grade papers/exams, participate in school meetings and events. The position also involves meeting with students who are struggling with keeping up with the workload (tutor/counselor) and coordinating student activities related with the subjects taught.

Fully paid vacations (2 weeks for spring and 2 weeks in winter).

Yearly bonus equivalent of a 2-week pay.
