CTAC Senior Coordinator

The McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research at NYU seeks to hire a motivated individual to serve as a full-time Senior Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of the Community Technical Assistance Center of New York (CTAC). Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Innovation and Education for CTAC, the coordinator will be responsible for leading and managing the coordination, facilitation, and delivery of education, training, consultation, and technical assistance services to mental health providers throughout New York State.

The candidate will join CTAC, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team consisting of social workers, psychologists, researchers, family and youth peer advocates, and instructional designers. The candidate will work closely with CTAC staff and consultants to identify and support the development of training initiatives. This position will suit a professional with an enthusiasm for team collaboration and quality mental health care.

Essential Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, facilitate, and support the development and presentation of CTAC trainings and learning initiatives for New York State’s mental health providers
• Organize and coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings, trainings, and events, including scheduling, booking rooms, preparing materials, and setting up calls and Zoom meetings
• Participate in planning and problem-solving activities with program-level staff and managers in the design, delivery, and implementation of statewide learning and training initiatives
• Organize, prepare, schedule, and attend designated internal and external CTAC and departmental meetings to strategize, troubleshoot, and provide feedback
• Coordinate and participate in meetings with members of various project workgroups to review and discuss implementation of initiatives, skills to facilitate and maintain progress towards project goals, and identified deliverables
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and keep project teams well informed of any changes as well as lessons learned from prior events
• Remain informed and up-to-date on the forefront of emerging industry practices regarding child and family mental health
• Seek and participate in professional development opportunities
• Responsible for the implementation of webinars, communication tools, social media, and website updates, including pulling together reports
• General admin support, including but not limited to maintaining listservs/email lists, providing customer/tech support to training participants, maintaining calendars, and meeting summaries
• Support team members in connecting with continuing education (CE) materials and requirements, as well as other areas and tasks as needed
• Gather, analyze, and present information on new and emerging trends related to the mental health needs of children, youth, and families
• Research and communicate with content matter experts, and coordinate trainings and tools
• Support the development of tools, resources, and modules for service providers and caregivers
• Draft, edit, proofread, or assist in the creation of presentation and communication products, such as announcements, PowerPoint/Google presentations, training materials, manuals/guides, tools, and publication content (i.e., social media) to support all CTAC deliverables
• Support the overall management of projects by regularly monitoring progress and logistics trackers
• Thoughtful preparation of meeting materials, including agendas, talking points, research, etc.
• Work with the evaluation team to ensure data collection when applicable
• Assist in the contract procedures for external partnerships
• Perform other duties as assigned and needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience coordinating major projects
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Familiarity with Zoom video conferencing platforms
• Understanding of Social Media best practices and tools of Instagram and Twitter
• Displays strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel
