    Position Title:  Manager of Project Success, Marketing and Communications (Project Manager)

    Department: Marketing, Communications, and Strategy

    Reports to: SVP and Chief Marketing Officer

    Duration: This role is currently funded for one year. Funding and job performance will determine if the role is extended beyond this period.

    Location: The role is hybrid – 1 day a week in Stamford, CT and occasional travel for events/meetings

    Candidates living in CT, DC, MD, MA, NJ, and NY who can commute to Stamford, CT once a week are eligible for this role.

    Salary and Benefits: Range for new hires in this role: $67,613 to $74,300 USD gross annually

    Role Description:

    The mission of this role is to set-up, track, and create consistency for successful delivery of Marketing & Communications multichannel projects within the department and across departments. This role will oversee project management for Marketing and Communications programs at two levels – across functions on integrated programs and at the functional level as needed:

    1. Collaborate across Marketing and Communications functions, including with Brand Campaign Strategy and Planning, Multimedia, Content Marketing, Public Relations, Social Media and Influencer, and other departments such as Direct Response and Special Events as needed, to provide a holistic view of integrated campaign work.
    1. Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams, including agency partners, on function-specific projects.

    In the first 90 days, the role will:

    • Learn and live Americares values.
    • Understand the marketing and communication team baselines, tools, functions, processes, and needs across the team.
    • Develop short-term strategies that support integrated campaigns and individual function projects.

    In the first 6 months, the role will:

    • Steward project management success, creating standards, conventions and consistency.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of how to operate across the marketing and communications department and our cross-organizational partners outside of marketing and communications (primarily Programs, Development, and global teams).
    • Anticipate the needs of marketing and communications functions and implement a plan to help manage those projects across the teams and within each team.
    • Successfully coordinate with external agency partners that are essential to project management.
    • Model collaboration best practices, enhancing the department’s project management communication and coordination.

    In the first year, the role will:

    • Create and update project management process documents, improvements, and efficiencies.
    • Establish guidelines, systems, and training that create a common convention for marketing and communications project management.
    • Contribute to the department’s success in the full project life cycle, positively impacting metrics (time, quality, collaboration, KPIs, etc.).

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Organize and implement realistic plans and timelines for multiple simultaneous projects including intaking, overseeing, marketing “trafficking” (discovery calls and resourcing) and tracking of project management request form and deliverables to completion, as well as helping ensure our day-to-day activities align to annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Identify and solve for gaps in the full marketing funnel.
    • Oversee and run holistic marketing team meetings such as weekly Editorial Calendar sessions that involve PR, Web, Social, Influencer, Brand Marketing, Internal Comms, plus others.
    • Apply and communicate decision-making frameworks such as a RAPID model for projects with multiple stakeholders.
    • Support team members to ensure projects are on time and have the resources needed.
    • Learn, navigate and enhance processes to improve project success and implementation including deploying, tracking and updating projects on Asana or similar project management tool.
    • Document processes in playbooks/guidelines that can be referenced to ensure consistency and compliance; keep playbooks updated as ecosystems/environments change.
    • Play a global role to coordinate across Americares offices and business units as needed – this includes other groups including leadership, People and Talent, Development and Global Partnerships and Programs, as well as country offices.
    • Communicate competently and clearly with diverse organizational stakeholders.
    • Coordinate vendors and internal resources.
    • Create, complete and enhance project reporting documentation.
    • Support and potentially lead special projects as needed.
    • Actively model and contribute to Americares values, work culture and mission.
    • Engage in and contribute to team spaces with openness, global competencies, and a growth mindset.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Competencies required for the role:

    • Demonstrated results managing multiple simultaneous projects in non-profit and/or marketing organizations; s

    trong follow-through, seeing around corners, taking accountability, ability to define a role sort.

    • Strong writing skills and understanding of technical and creative design needs for all components of a marketing project life cycle.
    • Experience collaborating, negotiation, and problem solving across stakeholders with appropriate communication style for the situation.
    • Hybrid working skills that enable you to work independently and within a team (remotely and in-person), with multiple project owners and stakeholders, aligning tasks with a strong sense of priority and making it your mission to understand who needs what when, and having productive conversations to set and reset expectations based on priority.
    • Experience and adaptability to various working styles and time zones.
    • Hands-on experience with project management tools, such as Trello, Asana, SmartSheet.
    • Excellent analytical skills (for reporting, data, design, tracking, and other aspects of the project life cycle).
    • Growth mindset, thriving in work environments that foster forward communication, innovation and mission-focused results.

    Preferred qualifications for the role include:

    • Fluency in languages that are spoken in at least one of our core locations (India, Philippines, Tanzania, E Salvador, Colombia, etc.), in addition to English.
    • Global marketing and/or project management experience.
