About the Practicum Coordinator Role
The CFHI Practicum Coordinator provides program management and organizational leadership for CFHI’s virtual and place-based practicum portfolio, providing detailed support, coordination, and oversight for up to 75 student practicum projects per year. They provide robust support to all academic partnerships that seek student projects and practicums, offer info sessions and ensure process compliance for institutions and students, and generally engage in outreach to highlight the practicum opportunity for MPH, MSGH, advanced clinical trainees, and others seeking practicum/project opportunities. The Practicum Coordinator also supports other key initiatives at CFHI, including offering 1:1 and group interviews for custom programs as needed; reviewing and grading case study submissions completed by 4th year/senior level medical students utilizing a rubric; managing the life cycle and budget for CFHI’s Community Health Projects & Professional Development Grants, leading occasional Global Health Roundtable webinars; and engaging in occasional opportunities to collaborate on research/publications with CFHI team members; among others. This role generally supports advanced public health and clinical learners in CFHI’s programs and provides key collaboration touchpoints with the CFHI Global Team.
The right candidate must be available 2-3 hours per day, Monday through Friday, and be fluent in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate will have experience and training in global public health (MPH or similar preferred), is highly organized and detail-oriented, is comfortable in a fully-remote work environment and able to be self-motivated and independently achieve goals, is very comfortable with public speaking and presenting, and thrives in a collaborative intercultural environment.

Position Logistics
Location: fully remote (USA or Latin America)
Travel: Some US and international travel may be occasionally required, up to two times/year
Compensation
Paid hourly, commensurate with experience. This is a part time, non-exempt role (or independent contractor).
