Part-Time Copywriter

Visions2030, a New York-based creative studio with a world-changing mission, is looking for a nimble writer who, on a project-based basis, can create attention-grabbing copy that says a lot with a little – taglines, pitches, evocative descriptions – to encapsulate our message with energy and brevity.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with executive, program, production, design, and communications team to:

• Write compelling and pithy copy across a range of formats
  • Taglines
  • Program and project titles
  • Website copy and descriptions
• Provide input on and polish to material written by other team members
• Invitations (digital and print-ready)
• Decks
• Fundraising materials
• Handouts, flyers, and program copy
• Social media posts and captions
• Event descriptions and promotions
• Ensure copy aligns with our goals and audiences
• Maintain consistent brand voice across all content

You're a Great Fit If You…

• Have a talent for short, punchy prose and a mastery of metaphor
• Have worked for an ad or brand agency (preferred, not required)
• Are aligned with our mission of changing the world through imagination
• Can match your voice to a brand
• Can meet short and at times last-minute deadlines
• Have amazing copy-editing skills
• Are comfortable with wide variations in work flow
• Are able to produce spur-of-the-moment
• Enjoy changeable schedules and formats
• Can receive feedback and quickly make adjustments
• Have experience writing for nonprofits or mission-driven brands (a plus)

The Details

• Part-time, fully remote
• No fixed schedule
• Hourly pay — rate commensurate with experience
• Expectation to occasionally attend weekly team and program meetings, as needed, to get acclimated to our message and mission.
