We train future urban educators through hands-on experiences, working closely with teachers, students, and families.
Why Epiphany School
Epiphany Middle School is an independent school dedicated to providing excellent, tuition-free education to boys and girls of all faiths from economically disadvantaged families in Boston. Epiphany is a school that Never Gives Up on a Child. We seek recent college graduates and early-career professionals who feel a strong commitment to the city, education, and children, and who are excited by the opportunity to work in a full-service school environment with an extended day and year.
Teaching Fellows play a vital role in the life of the school. Primary responsibilities include student teaching and academic support, leading small art or enrichment electives, and coaching sports. While many Teaching Fellows may have little or no prior classroom experience, the program is intentionally designed to be highly collaborative and development-focused, with an emphasis on learning, mentorship, and mutual growth.
About the Teaching Fellow Program
The Epiphany Teaching Fellow Program is a high-impact, immersive fellowship for recent college graduates who are aspiring educators who want real classroom experience, strong mentorship, and meaningful community engagement.
Teaching Fellows are integral members of the school community, working alongside experienced lead teachers while developing their own teaching practice. Fellows live and learn together in a cohort model that emphasizes collaboration, reflection, and professional growth.
What You’ll Do
Teaching Fellows contribute across academic, enrichment, and student life programming. While prior teaching experience is not required, Fellows should bring curiosity, flexibility, and a commitment to learning.
