Field Data Collector
Detalhes
Descrição
Grassroots Environmental Education is a science-based environmental health non-profit, with a mission to inform the public and decision makers about the health risks of common environmental exposures, and to empower individuals and organizations to act as catalysts for change in their own communities.
Grassroots is engaged in a multi-state scientific study of plastic grass playing fields (aka "artificial turf") to determine the extent of any environmental and chemical exposures that may exist for young athletes and others who may be exposed.
We are seeking a responsible, organized, flexible, and self-motivated individual to act as a field data collector in Nassau and Suffolk counties during the summer of 2026 to collect samples from plastic grass fields.
This position requires a valid driver's license, own transportation, willingness to work at odd hours and weekends (when fields are not in use), careful attention to detail, and a desire to aid in the scientific process.
